10:30 a.m. Sunday Mornings
- A healthy mix of traditional style and spontaneity of the Spirit. We might sing a classic hymn and find the Pastor having a Light Saber battle with the kids all in one service.
- The choir is dynamic and gifted. They performed at Lincoln Center in NY!
- A message that is down to earth, infused with sacred humor, storytelling, and scripture.
- We have an open communion table. Christ didn’t turn anyone away and neither do we.
- Wear what you feel comfortable in. You are invited to be spiritually naked, but not literally.
Chancel Choir
Chancel Choir, under the direction of Judy White, accompanied by Claire Lee, is a group of dedicated individuals who love to sing uplifting songs as an expression of their devotion to the Lord, Jesus Christ.
For the past few years, the choir was invited to perform at Licoln Center and Carnegie Hall in NYC as a part of an ensemble of choirs from around the nation.
With inspired music ranging in style from classical, to modern, to spirituals, the Chancel Choir joyfully leads the congregation on Sunday mornings. Once each year, Zion UCC is blessed by a Chancel Choir Cantata. This beautiful music celebrates our church holidays (either Easter or Christmas). The date for this special performance is dependent on the Liturgical year.
Choir Practice occurs Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings prior to worship.
