Daniel Winter -Deer Park High School Class of 2015

Daniel will graduate June 3rd from Deer Park High School. While in high school, he played Varsity Baseball for 3 years; Junior Varsity Basketball for 2 years, Varsity Cross Country for 3 years.  He was a member of the Deer Park Marching Band for 4 years where he was a section leader for 2 years. He maintained a 3.5 GPA throughout high school. He was in Parkers (Deer Parks's variety show) for 4 years doing Boy's Kickline and Swing Dance. He was in Fellowship for Christian Athletes for 3 years. Daniel was in National Honor Society. He attended Buckeye Boys State and participated in their band. He spent 6 years playing summer select baseball. Daniel was baptized and confirmed at Zion. He is a 4th generation member at Zion. Daniel plans to attend Ohio Univeristy in their ROTC program, majoring in History, concentrating in Military Diplomacy, and doing a potential minor in French. He received a Full Scholarship from Ohio University.



Jack Walker - Deer Park High School,

Class of 2015


John Richard (Jack) Walker was the fourth generation of his mother's family to be baptized at Zion by Pastor Howard Storm on Easter Sunday, 1997. Jack's parents are Donna (Rohdenburg)(Walker) Farrell and the late Rick Walker. Jack's stepdad is David Farrell. in 2011, Jack was confirmed at Zion with fellow 2015 graduates, Stephanie Lutz and Daniel Winter by Pastor Daniel Meister. Jack has served as usher and liturgist at Zion, sang in the youth choir and performed with the Zion Orchestra. Jack will graduate with Honors on June 3, 2015 from Deer Park High School, the third generation of his family to do so. Jack's class rank is 6th. He is a two year National Honoer Society member. During his high school career, Jack participated in Marching Band for 4 years serving as Alto Sax Section Leader his senior year.  He participated in Concert Band for 4 years as First Chair Alto Sax his senior year. He participated in Jazz Band for 2 years as First Chair Alto Sax and featured Soloist during his senior year.  With Jazz Band, he has performed at Amber Park Retirement Community and Union Terminal. Jack was a member of the graduation band for 3 years. Jack also competed in OMEA solo competition on Alto Sax, earning a  superior rating of "1". Jack has performed in the annual musical variety show "Parkers" for four years, in comedy sketches, with the Parker stage Band, Jazz Band, and Boy's Kickline. Also during high school, Jack wrote for the school newspaper "The Deer Parker" and was a member of Drama Club performing in Shakespear's "Midsummer Nights Dream" as Nick Bottom and in a performance of comedy sketches as Safety Man. Jack has also participated in Communiserve activities. Jack is a graduate of the Regional Youth Collaborative. Since 2013, Jack  volunteered at the Deer Park Branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County  and also with the Deer Park Historical Society. Jack will be attending the University of Dayton majoring in History and performing with the Pride of Dayton Marching Band.


Stephanie Lutz-Colerain High School Class of 2015

Stephanie Elizabeth Lutz is the fifth generation of her mother's side of the family to attend Zion. She was born June 2, 1997 to Sheri and Dale Lutz and baptized by Reverend Howard Storm in November of 1997. Her great grandparents were Dorothy and Harold Funk and her grandmother was Carol Adelsperger. Stephanie has been involved at her church in: the Children's Choir, teaching Sunday School, working in the nursery, singing in the Adult Choir, serving as an Usher and Liturgist and in 2011, she was confirmed by Pastor Daniel Meister. Stephanie will graduate Summa Cum Laude with honors on May 29, 2015 from Colerain High School. She has a 5.63 GPA and is ranked 22nd in her class. Stephanie has been involved for 4 years in her Drama Club. She has performed in 6 shows which include: "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", "The Crucible", "Arsenic and Old Lace", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Front" and "The Addams Family". She has had 6 articles published through Cappies the last 2 years, an organization in which teams of high school students throughout the tri-state area attend other schools shows and review them. Stephanie has also had 4 Cappies nominations in the last 2 years, both years she had been nominated for Best Critic Team and Ensemble. Stephanie has been involved in Student Senate for 3 years and is the chair of its Spirit Committee. She has also been involved in Class Officers the last 2 years and planned her Senior Prom at Newport Aquarium. She has been a part of Spanish National Honor Society for 4 years and National Honor Society for 2 years. She has volunteered through school and church and has attended many Ronald McDonald Houses with Student Senate. Over the last 3 summers, Stephanie has worked as a nanny for 2 children. Next year, she will be attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio majoring in Marketing. Stephanie has been blessed to have the love and support of her Zion Family and she knows that their encouragement will help her continue in God's path for the rest of her life.
